Campus Safety Everyone's Responsibility

As the new academic year is underway, VPCC Police remind everyone that vigilance is the key to maintaining a safe teaching and learning environment at the College.

Police say everyone plays a role in the safety and security of our campuses. Taking precautions can make a difference. Here are some tips:

*Report suspicious persons, vehicles, and activities.
*Lock doors and secure belongings.
*Keep your vehicle locked and ensure valuables are out of sight.
*Know your way around campus.
*Stay alert to your surroundings and the people around you.
*Locate the emergency call buttons on campus.
*Don't overload yourself with bags or packages when moving about.
*Avoid walking alone at night.
*Be aware of available campus safety services.
